Eye examinations

Our Optometrist will carry out a thorough examination of your eyes, which means far more than just testing your sight to check if you need to wear glasses or contact lenses. Your eyes will be carefully examined to ensure that they are healthy, which includes screening for conditions such as Glaucoma and Diabetic eye disease. Many patients qualify for free eye examinations under the National Heath Service.

Urgent Eye Care Service

If you have an acute problem with your eye or vision you may need an eye examination under the Eye Health Examination Wales (EHEW) initiative. Patients can be seen for the following issues:

• Minor eye injury

• Red eye

• Painful eye

• Foreign body

• Sudden loss/change in vision

• New onset flashes/floaters
